For businesses that need an experienced operational perspective beyond the initial fix.

Ongoing Operational Advisory

Is This Right for You?

This service is for established solo practices and founder-led small teams that have already done the foundational work and want experienced operational guidance as the business continues to evolve.

It may be a good fit if:

  • things are working, but you know they could work better

  • you're making changes and want another experienced perspective

  • operational questions keep coming up as the business grows

  • you don't need a full-time operations person, but you don't want to figure everything out alone

This is advisory work, not day-to-day management. You remain responsible for running your business. I'm there to help you see the operational implications, work through the options, and decide what needs to happen next.

Getting Started

Ongoing Operational Advisory is generally offered after an Operational Diagnostic or an Operational Realignment Project, once we have a clear understanding of your business and what ongoing support would actually be useful.

If you're considering ongoing support after a Diagnostic, we'll discuss what that should look like before you commit to a continuing engagement..

What We Work On

Depending on what is happening in your business, our work may include:

  • reviewing changes in responsibilities as your team grows

  • working through operational problems or recurring friction

  • deciding when an existing process needs to change

  • clarifying roles, responsibilities, and decision-making

  • simplifying workflows that have become more complicated than they need to be

  • helping you determine what needs your attention and what doesn't

  • thinking through operational decisions before you commit to a larger change

This isn't about constantly changing your systems or adding new tools. It's about having someone experienced to help you see what's changing, decide what matters, and address problems before they become harder to manage.

How It Works

Ongoing Operational Advisory is structured as a monthly retainer.

Regular advisory sessions
Monthly or twice-monthly meetings, depending on what your business needs.

Between-session access
Limited communication between sessions for questions or issues that don't need a full meeting.

Ongoing perspective
Because I already understand your business and how it operates, we can spend less time getting up to speed and more time addressing what has changed.

At the end of each engagement period, we'll review whether continuing makes sense.

Sometimes a Diagnostic identifies a problem that can be resolved with a focused project.

Sometimes the business is changing quickly enough that the work doesn't really end there.

As your business grows, new people join, responsibilities change, and what worked six months ago may no longer work as well. You may not need someone managing the business for you, but having an experienced operational perspective available can make those changes much easier to navigate.

Ongoing Operational Advisory provides that continued support.

We meet regularly to look at what's changing, what's becoming difficult, and what needs attention before a small operational problem becomes a larger one.
